CSEC Training Overview

Here in our CSEC 101 training, we aim to peel back the layers of this issue, to help participants better understand the various aspects of child sexual exploitation, from the recruitment tactics used by exploiters, to the profiles of victims, and the signs that a child might be at risk.

Despite its grave nature, tackling this subject is absolutely necessary to bring about meaningful change. We are here to learn, to challenge prevailing misconceptions, and to actively seek solutions. While the problem may seem insurmountable, each of us has a role to play in combating this deeply entrenched issue.

Let’s remember, as we progress through the course, that our aim is to equip ourselves with the necessary knowledge and tools to identify, prevent, and combat CSEC. With understanding and action, we can each make a difference, contributing to the overall fight against child sexual exploitation in our communities and beyond.

Our hope is that this training will not just inform you, but inspire you to become active advocates for these vulnerable children, and allies in the fight against this horrifying form of child abuse. Thank you for being here, and for your willingness to engage with this difficult, but vital, subject matter.
